Why the Pineapple?
Why would the folks who provide markers and monuments choose a pineapple to represent their memorial company?
Well, since colonial times, and particularly in the south, the pineapple has been the symbol of hospitality and friendship. The warm presence of those qualities in our business make it natural for us to choose the pineapple to depict the service we provide and the caring we offer.
The Pineapple is an old and humble symbol. Still, it has an enduring appeal, because the values it stands for are never out of fashion.
Treasured Memories
I remember one night, I built the biggest campfire ever. But we didn’t need that big of a fire. Grandpa told me not to put any more wood on the fire . . . so I didn’t. Later he explained it’s important to respect nature, that way nature respects you.
Grandpa may be gone now, but his legacy remains. These days, when I take my kids fishing, and the morning air is so cold I can see my own breath…on those mornings, I swear I can feel Grandpa sitting by my side.
